OUR SUMMER PROGRAM

THIS PROGRAM IS FOR CHILDREN WHO ARE OUT OF SCHOOL DURING THE SUMMER SEASON.

(AGES KINDERGARTEN - 5TH GRADE)

Our teacher-child ratio is 1:15

We have a program that is specifically designed to meet the needs of children from the ages 5 years - 12 years. Our Summer program is to reach children who are out of school during the summer break. Our goal is to create a fun environment for your child's summer. Every child wants to have an eventful experience that is safe, healthy and exciting. At Precious Moment, we try to do just that. We work to avoid boredom and invite creativity and fun.

We provide a nutritious breakfast that meets the CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) requirements for the children that we transport to school in the morning, and provide an afternoon snack that meets the CACFP requirements as well for the children we pick up from school.

 

The classroom curriculum consists of giving children many opportunities to engage themselves in fun and innovative activities. We incorporate activities such as outside play, self-selection play, science experiments and many field trip opportunities. Teachers research ideas and work with the children to come up with ways to make their experience an enjoyable one to remember, and they also plan for small activities and projects, (according to the current season, theme or interest) to keep the children engaged and responsive in the class. 

 

We know that children in this age range seek exploration that challenges their development and intrigues their mind and spirit, and that is what our teachers plan for. Our teachers are continuously planning strategies that ensure they are providing an environment that is exciting, nurturing, eventful and safe, for our youngest to the oldest children we serve.
